Ardh Satya tells a dark and heavy story about a young police officer named Anant Velankar. Anant never wanted to be a cop; he loved literature and wanted to be a teacher. However, his father, who was also a violent and mean policeman, forced him to join the force. Anant starts his job with good intentions. He wants to be honest and catch bad guys, but he quickly learns that the city is run by a dangerous criminal named Rama Shetty.

Rama Shetty is a mafia boss who has everyone in his pocket, including the police bosses and the politicians. Every time Anant tries to do his job properly and arrest Rama's men, his own bosses stop him. They protect the criminals because of their political power. This makes Anant feel trapped and useless. He starts to lose his way and begins drinking too much alcohol to forget his problems. His anger grows because he sees the law being broken every day but is not allowed to fix it.

His life falls apart when he gets drunk and beats a small-time thief so badly that the man dies in the police station. Anant is suspended and faces prison for what he did. To save his career, he is told he must go and beg Rama Shetty—the man he hates—for help. When he finally meets Rama Shetty, the criminal treats him like a servant. In a moment of pure rage, Anant realizes he cannot live with this lie anymore. He kills Rama Shetty with his bare hands. Instead of running away, he turns himself in, knowing he has finally broken the cycle of being a "half-honest" man.

The message of the story is about the struggle to stay a good person in a bad system. It shows that many people live a "half-truth" where they try to be good but end up compromising with evil just to survive. The film teaches that violence often creates more violence and that the pressure to follow a family legacy can destroy a person's soul. It warns that when good people stay silent or give in to corruption, they become part of the problem. In the end, it is a brave look at how hard it is to be a real hero when the whole world around you is broken.
