Miko Peled is an Israeli-American activist and author from a prominent Zionist family—his father was an Israeli General. Peled completely rejects Zionism, describing the Israeli government as a "radical Zionist regime" and stating that Israel's founding narrative was a lie built on the "ethnic cleansing and genocide" of Palestinians. His view of the Israel-Palestine conflict is that Israel operates as an apartheid state that is not a democracy. Peled advocates for the end of the occupation and the creation of a single democratic state where both Israelis and Palestinians live as equals in their shared homeland, directly opposing the "two-state solution." He sees the conflict as an ongoing resistance by the Palestinian people against Israeli control and is a strong supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement.
