Football Supporters Europe (FSE) has intensified the backlash against FIFA, labeling the national team ticket allocation (PMA) prices for the 2026 World Cup as an "extortionate" and "monumental betrayal" of the tournament's tradition.
Latest reports confirm fan anger is soaring as prices for the cheapest final ticket in the PMA allocation will cost a staggering $4,185 (£3,120)—nearly five times the price of the equivalent ticket for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Loyal supporters following their team from the first match to the final could face a minimum cost of around $6,900 for tickets alone, and FSE is also protesting FIFA's decision to reserve the limited, cheapest Category 4 tickets for general sales subject to dynamic pricing, which supporters groups say excludes the most dedicated traveling fans and makes the tournament unaffordable for many.
