Steadfastness (Istiqamah) is a divine gift. The Quran promises those who declare Allah as their Lord and remain upright will have no fear, as angels bring them glad tidings. Believers are taught to pray: "Our Lord, pour upon us patience and plant firmly our feet."
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Say, 'I believe in Allah,' and then remain steadfast." He constantly prayed to the "Turner of hearts" to keep his heart firm upon the religion, proving that true firmness requires us to consistently rely on His divine grace.
In hardships, steadfastness is your anchor. Clinging to the Quran and Sunnah allows Allah to reinforce your heart. Firmness is trusting His decree. Turn to Him, and He will grant you the strength to stay steadfast on the straight path.
